Born in Tunisia in 1983 to a family of musicians, Zied Zouari began playing violin at the age of seven. He obtained the first prize for children performing in Tunis in 1996 and the gold medal for the festival of young creative artists in Kram (Tunisia) in 1997. He represents Tunisia at the first meeting of young Arab musicians in Dubai where he obtains the gold medal (1998). He began his professional career with Lebanese singer "Wadi SAFÎ" in 1999. Armed with a solid training, he landed in Paris since 2006 where he meets musicians from all walks of life, plays with great fame such as Sylvain Luc, Daniel Mille , Bojan Z, Manu Théron, Khaled, Thione Seck, Mathias Duplessy, Dorsaf Hamdani, Emel Mathlouthi (kelmti horra) where he meets Imed Alibi.
With the latter, he co-produced, composed and arranged the album Safar in collaboration with Justin Adam's. Zied plays solo in Carthage, the Arab world institute, the Zenith, the theater of the Elysées, the theater of the city of Paris, the Cigale. He is also the solo violin of the great Serbian musician "Goran Brekovic" for his project "three letters from Sarajevo". Zied is currently the musical director of the Arabic Opera Kalila wa Dimna, the original creation of the Aix-en-Provence festival. He holds a doctorate in music (Sorbonne) and a DEM in Jazz and improvised music (CNR of Paris).
In 2015, he awarded the "best performer" prize to the Festival des Journées Musicales de Carthage (JMC) for the presentation of his solo concert. If his field of predilection is Arabic-oriental music, Zied is intensely impregnated Jazz, electro and rock. He is on the way to forming a reference in contemporary Arabic violinist language by developing a fusional approach that traces his various influences ranging from Afro-Arab music to Jazz. Thanks to his stage experience and his double culture, Zied Zouari has become the specialist in mixing genres. His first album is an invitation to travel to an unusual world of an outstanding violinist.
